Privacy & Security
Scifle is built on privacy by architectural constraint, not promises. We designed the system so your spoken thoughts, transcripts, and insights never enter our servers.
The Scifle Promise
- Your audio or text does not pass through Scifle servers.
- Your transcripts and insights are not stored by Scifle.
- Your search queries stay on your device.
- Your content cannot be accessed, reviewed, or monetized by us.
This is not a policy preference. It is how the system is built.
How Scifle Is Architected
Traditional apps:
You → Company Servers → AI (they see content)
Scifle:
You → AI Provider → Your Device (we are not in the data path)
What Never Enters Our Servers
- Audio recordings (original or voice-obscured)
- Text entries
- Transcripts, summaries, or insights
- Search queries
Voice Obscuring & Direct Processing
Before any audio leaves your phone, your voice is obscured on-device to reduce identifiability. Voice-obscured audio is sent directly to AI providers using short-lived tokens. Scifle does not receive your audio or transcripts.
- Ephemeral: used for one request, then deleted
- Non-retained: we instruct AI providers not to store inputs
- Non-replayable: retries generate fresh, obscured audio
Text Input
Text you enter is handled on-device and, when AI processing is requested, sent directly to the AI provider without account identifiers attached. Unlike audio, text cannot be automatically obscured—what you write is what gets processed.
What Scifle Stores
- Account info: email, optional first name, subscription status
- Authentication logs: limited security events, hashed emails
- Operational telemetry: short-lived, non-identifying aggregates
We do not store content and do not build behavioral profiles.
Data Control
Scifle includes a device-local “Shred All Data” option that permanently deletes recordings, transcripts, insights, and search indexes on your phone. Account deletion removes server-side account data.
